Posted December 4th, 2017 in Community
Looking for some family-friendly holiday events in Lewiston this season? We love our community, and we’re here to help! Check out any of these great events to make the most out of the holiday season while spending quality time with the people you love most!
A full weekend of holiday fun! Meet Santa (and other favorite holiday characters!) in various locations all weekend, and deliver your letters right to him. The Lewiston Family Ice Rink will have special admission rates and skate rentals all weekend, and Boy Scout Troop 855 will be selling Christmas trees in Academy Park.
For the littlest ones, there will be Elf on the Shelf readings every half hour at Apple Granny Restaurant, and for the over-21 crowd there will be special beer tasting events at Brewed and Bottled.
This is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this wonderful, city-wide event, so check out the website for the full activity and opportunity listing!
This FREE event will be happening from 11a.m.- 4p.m. at the Sanborn Lewiston Farm Museum. Kids will get to meet Santa (and receive a gift!), frost cookies, do crafts, meet special guests and more!
Presented by Teal’s Niagara Theater, tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. This musical retelling of new-Christmas-classic-movie Elf tells the story of Buddy the Elf, a human accidentally raised as an elf in the North Pole, and his journey back to NYC to discover his roots. Light Up Sanborn – Ladies First Performance – Dec. 16
This special holiday program at the Sanborn Lewiston Farm Museum begins at 6:30p.m. and runs until approximately 7:30p.m. (so you can still get the kids home in time for bed!) Ladies First is a four-piece, all-women acapella quartet, and they’ll be bringing the holiday cheer with a special selection of holiday songs. This event is free, but donations are accepted. Call (716) 990-6909 for reservations.
Caroling in Youngstown – Dec. 23
Meet at the Mug & Musket at 6:15 p.m. for caroling around Youngstown from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Whether you live in the neighborhood, or just love to sing Christmas carols, this is a great event to spread holiday cheer to the community!
Our local recreation department has a couple great holiday events planned to keep your kids away from the TV and tapping into their creative spirit.
Holiday Cupcake Decorating – December 9 – Saturday 12:00 Noon
Holiday Paints & Crafts – December 13 – Wednesday 5PM-6:30pm
We’re lucky to live in a community that offers so many wonderful events for the holiday season. Whatever you do, we hope you get into the holiday spirit, enjoy quality time with those near and dear, and make some lasting memories. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from your friendly local Dimino Tops family!
